Well folks, we did it!! After a LONG day of searching last Sunday, a stressfull week of trying to bid on cars through ebayUK, talking on the phone with Telus for an hour trying to get them to allow my phone to make international phone calls (which they still haven't fixed...) and checking out various dealers through autotrader UK, we finally did it.

We are the proud owners of a black 2002 Suzuki Alto!!!

This little beast will be our best (or worst!) friend from London all the way (hopefully!!) to Mongolia.

The dealer, Hillingdon Motor Company, has been awesome in assisting us with this purchase. It's not everyday that they sell a car over the internet and phone to two girls in Canada :)

They've heard of the Rally and are aware of what we will be putting this car through so they're helping us ensure this car makes it the whole way! They've had the car double checked by their mechanic,  are assisting us with upgrades we may need and are possibly supplying us with some tools to take on the rally. AND, if that isn't enough, they've offered to keep the car for us in the event that we can't get anyone out there to pick it up. 

Now on to insuring the car with the DVLA.
