We are Face Race. We are Oly and Oli.

We met back in 2007 on the Graphic Arts & Design degree course in Leeds. Friendship blossomed and we now find ourselves embarking on the journey of a lifetime, the 2010 Mongol Rally. We thought what better way to spend our summer and finish off our 3rd year whilst doing some good for charity in the process!

On the 24th July 2010 we will begin our epic 10,000 mile journey from the UK to Mongolia in a car more suited to the shopping run than an extreme adventure one third of the way around the earth.

Our team, Face Race, is so called because of an ingenious solution which allows us to take all of you generous people who make donations along for the ride, all the way to mongolia. We propose to create graphic representations of your faces and paste them upon the body of the vehicle. All you have to do is make a donation of £5 or more and we'll do the rest!

Alternatively, if you are representing a company, we will be happy to offer you advertising space on our website and on our car in return for a cash donation or anything that could be useful to us on our travels.

Mongolia, Altai: In mongolia now. 1000k until the border. Cars doing fine although every car around us is falling apart. All going to make it one way or another. Stocking up on supplies before we enter the Gobe dessert. Beards are getting dusty and itchy. Have showered once in about 15 days. In car smell is pretty sweet. Missing everyone. See you soonish. Got ourselves a motor. Its a silver 993cc 2001 Suzuki Swift GLS. We worked out that the 'GLS' definitely stands for Great Luxury Sport!

It's all about the swift! Can try some formation driving patterns, pretty much a small line with only two ha. still look pretty awesome I'd imagine...
