The Adventurists

This is a place where you can read our blog. It is a very simple concept and one which we are proud of. All the best ideas are simple after all!

Although I'm not sure this is entirely true to be honest. I mean ARE all the best ideas simple?? In fact, some of the best ideas are actually formed only after a lot of time and thought have gone into them, and even then the ideas probably aren't actually all that simple to implement. Take electricity for example; It's a bloody simple idea - get some natural force to do all the work for you! Genius. However, I'm sure it took a lot of frazzle to work out how to sucessfully catch, store and release electricity without too much smokin' hair!

Anyway, I digress, this is our blog - it's simple. And great.

finish line, beer, kareoke and korean food

Posted by David Morgan at 28th August 2010 at 03:03

Hello world...

So I am now at a computer for the 1st time in 5 ish weeks and I can report we are hungover We partying the night away like it was 1995 last night and are paying the price.

Phil and I ended up in a Korean restuarant at 2 am some how and ordered food for 4 people even though there was only 2 of us..... not surew how that happened. We found Windsor asleep in our car for some unknown reason when he had a perfectly good hostel to aim for.....

So a day of recovery before the official party tonight. I will report on antics later.

After 4 weeks and 6 days across various versions of unsuitable terrain, 2 holes in exhaust, 1 broken windscreen, 1 puncture, 3 holes ane 1 totally new fuel tank, the patchy beard, pornstar tashe and whispy growth have finally dragged the swift across the finish line! Pats on the back all round and beers are shortly to flow. Awesome.

We're cheering for you here in rainy London. Well, well done chaps. Looking forward to welcoming you home.

What a great achievement, I always believed in the mighty swift and trusted in your determination to get to a party no matter what. When the Mongolian people see what you have given them, they will soon be starting the Hendon rally to bring it back.

Amazing glimpse of city as we emerge from hills. Dave on roof and Phil hanging out of window. This feels good.

In what the local press have dubbed "a rare display of steering wheel mastery" for the last 20km Phil "Schumacher" Morrison has been tearing up Mongolia's finest asphalt. Apparently the Mongols can't believe their luck...@

Reunited with dave! Our fuel tank is dead on our roof and we've got a new one (former water holder) sitting in passenger seat footwell. Amazing job done by genius of pete of silent pete - our convoy buddies of old. Car stinks of petrol and can only seat two so phil is holding fuel pipes in whilst hanging out of window whilst either tom or dave jump in with mates.
