Hello and Welcome!

We have now have our trusty steed for this epic adventure to Mongolia, a 2001 Suzuki Wagon R!  It's been fully rally fitted, by Paul Sloane in Ketley, and is now out and about raising more donations for Mercy Corps!

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

both got to ub by very crowed minibus and paul hitching with team ulaanba-tour. Thanks chaps! Emma will be back on saturday and paul's train to moscow is next tuesday.

Khovd, Mongolia

rally is over for our suzuki after we hit a rock and tore a hole in the engine 60km out of khovd. But we shall continue to UB without her!

Bayan Olgii, Mongolia

finally in after a 2 day wait at the border. Have broken a spring into 3 parts (nothing to do with paul's driving) but with local help have new ones waiting at the next town and have borrowed a slightly less broken one till then.

Farab, Turkmenistan

epic night in ashgabat the las vegas of asia now stuck at uzbec boader in no mans land for next 4days, time to learn russian! Paul.

Babol, Iran

slept, ate and drank for free at a shisha bar last night. Iranian people are amazingly friendly, including the police! Best country yet by far!

Maku, Iran

just got out of the turkey-iran border crossing after three and a half very long hours. Hopefully the rest of the country will be nicer!

just passing into romania. Border guards very relaxed with about 8 or so rally cars and ambulance passing through!

arrived here a day early, so day off tomorrow!
