Punto-tastic!

Time is running out and so much to do!

We'll we've got 35 days left to be fully prepared but we really don't know what fully prepared is as strangley enough we haven't done this before!

Visa's are all done (Jackie's still hasn't arrived yet ) finally got hold of the dual burner I so desparately wanted and it's much bigger than I thought as I've got to bring it home.

More stickers and stripes on the car  - it's looking fab! GPS ordered  (that's Errol's boys toy) just got to try and raise more of that CASH!

Route planned!

Well it's taken a long time but we think we've finally got the route all sorted, ( apart from the Russian bits as can't seem to get the maps and Google earth doesn't seem to help much either!)

The roof box ( home made to the highest standards) is almost complete I'm currently fitting four spot lights on the front to really make it look like a jerky car! still thinking about installing a snorkle, i'll have the pics up very soon.

It was love at first sight when we found our perfect Punto on ebay! if you look beyond the minor dents, scratches, missing door trim, half the speaks remaining, cassette player(what's that?) and scratched up windscreen, it's perfect!

 But she runs smooth and most importantly it was cheap!

In the beginning...

Well folks this is where it all begins!  We're still putting the web site together and hope to have a route planned within the next week.

It's also time to start thinking about what sort of vehicle to go in and what to take with us, bound to forget something.

Fortunately Jackie informs me that she's a dab hand at the old car mechanics... so no worries on that front then!
